WE ARE HIRING – PROJECT MANAGER (AUDIO-VISUAL SYSTEMS)

I. ROLE SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for managing the full life cycle of audio-visual (AV) integration projects, ensuring they are delivered within scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, coordination of multiple stakeholders, risk management, issue resolution, and maintaining long-term customer relationships.


II. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage end-to-end AV integration projects from planning and execution to monitoring, commissioning, and handover.

  • Coordinate site teams to ensure safety, quality, and progress are maintained.

  • Conduct site walks to check PPE compliance, installation methods, material placement, and workmanship quality.

  • Develop and track project schedules; monitor budgets, forecast costs, and manage billings/invoices.

  • Oversee procurement activities: requesting quotations, issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and working with subcontractors and vendors.

  • Handle project issues and change requests (change orders) in a timely and documented manner.

  • Maintain clear and professional communication with customers, consultants, general contractors, and internal teams.

  • Prepare and manage technical documentation, test reports, as-built documents, and handover packages.

  • Work closely with Pre-construction, Service, and other internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery and transition.


III. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

1. Technical & Professional Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of the construction/installation process: scheduling, manpower planning, materials, and equipment.

  • Good knowledge of constructability and practical installation methods.

  • Ability to identify scope gaps in design and tender documents.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.


2. Advanced AV Technical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of AV systems and technologies: audio, video, control, and video conferencing solutions.

  • Familiarity with industry installation standards, signal flow, termination, and system commissioning procedures.

  • Ability to evaluate technical feasibility, support AV system design, and verify quantities/BOQ.

  • Provide technical input for procurement decisions and vendor selection.

  • Supervise AV installation quality and ensure compliance with design and standards.

  • Preferred experience with professional AV platforms such as Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, Cisco, Barco, etc.


3. Management & Soft Skills

  • Self-driven, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical and business correspondence.

  • Problem-solving and risk management skills.

  • Team leadership and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software/tools.

  • Adaptable to changing requirements, environments, and project conditions.


4. Personal Competencies

  • Ability to retain and recall critical project information quickly.

  • Good spatial and structural visualization of systems and installation methods.

  • Flexible thinking and quick decision-making under pressure.

  • Low ego; open to feedback and able to consider multiple perspectives.

  • Knows when to speak and when to listen.

  • Understands and supports the project turnover and service handover process.


IV. EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, MEP, Audio-Visual, or related fields.

  • Experience in AV, ELV, ICT, or construction project management is a strong advantage.

  • Preferred professional certifications:

    • AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)

    • PMP or CAPM (Project Management Institute)
