SENNHEISER

MobileConnect Station

The Sennheiser MobileConnect Station is a Wi-Fi-based assistive listening server for venues that must serve hearing-impaired audiences, multi-language interpretation or audio description — lecture halls, theatres, houses of worship and conference centres.

The rack-mount Station streams over standard 802.11 Wi-Fi to the free MobileConnect app on iOS and Android, supporting up to 100 simultaneous smartphone clients per system with latency from ~25 ms. Each Station provides two Assistive Listening channels, or one bi-directional channel combining Assistive Listening with an Audience Mic, fed from XLR and Dante inputs through the LAN to Wi-Fi. The solution is ADA compliant, using attendees' own phones instead of dedicated receivers.

AVSTEK designs MobileConnect into the venue's network — sizing Wi-Fi coverage for the client count, routing source audio over XLR or Dante, and validating latency so listeners stay in sync with the room. It is a privacy-respecting, no-extra-hardware path to accessibility.
