Vocia VA8600
The Biamp Vocia VA8600 is a networked multi-channel amplifier built for life-safety-grade paging and distributed audio in larger Vocia systems.
Each 3RU chassis holds up to 8 modules / 8 channels, with module power software-configurable from 100 W to 600 W and up to 2,400 W per chassis. Outputs drive 70 V / 100 V lines directly or low-impedance 4 Ω / 8 Ω loads, onboard DSP covers volume, filters, compressor/limiter, delay and speaker EQ, and channel-to-channel plus chassis-to-chassis failover with short-circuit and output-fault monitoring keep the system resilient. Dual Ethernet ports give a redundant CobraNet connection.
AVSTEK configures module power to the loudspeaker loads, plans the failover and redundancy scheme to the building's requirements, and commissions the VA8600 within the Vocia network so audio stays available when it matters.

Flexible load options: Supports 70V or 100V with direct drive, or low impedance (4Ω/8Ω). Total output reaches up to 2400W per device.
Failover capability: Can switch over between channels or between amplifiers, with several modes such as 1:1, dual 3:1, or 7:1 (requires the VFOM-1 module).
LED status indicators: Display faults such as amplifier failure, clipping, a stalled fan, an over-temperature heatsink, peak signal, or signal present.
Emergency message storage: Local non-volatile memory allows emergency messages to be stored within the device.
Software monitoring: Monitors amplifier health, excessive clipping, a stalled fan, temperature faults, peak signal, or output short circuits.
Software-configurable signal processing: Includes volume adjustment, filters, compression/limiting, delay, speaker equalization, and output sensitivity.
CobraNet network connection: Transmits audio data and control over a single Ethernet cable.
Dual Ethernet ports: Provide network redundancy.
Rotary switch: Used to identify the device within the system.
3RU rack design: Easy to install in a standard rack cabinet.
