The Extron IN1808 is a high-performance presentation switcher designed for modern AV systems that require the ability to handle multiple 4K signal sources and provide seamless switching. With 8 input ports (HDMI, DisplayPort, DTP2), the device allows for flexible connection of various sources such as laptops, computers, media players, or expanded AV systems.
A key feature of the IN1808 is its Vector™ 4K technology, which enables switching between signal sources without interrupting the image – a crucial factor in high-end conference rooms, lecture halls, or control centers. Furthermore, with DTP2 technology, the device can transmit AV, audio, and control signals over CATx cables up to 100 meters, optimizing infrastructure and reducing cable installation costs.
The device also integrates a sophisticated audio DSP (ProDSP) and offers optional amplifiers and control processing, allowing for the integration of the entire AV system into a single device. This reduces system complexity and increases operational stability.
